Zhejiang Yuyao Mountain Township built a large-scale private painting and calligraphy institute 2013-05-16

A few days ago, after nearly three years of preparation and construction, the Simingshan Painting and Calligraphy Institute, located in Datun Town, a mountainous township in Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province, was officially opened by private capital investment of 50 million yuan. The institute covers an area of more than 50 acres and is based on traditional calligraphy and painting collections such as “calligraphy, Chinese painting and seal”. The hospital is currently one of the largest private painting and calligraphy institutes in eastern Zhejiang. The Simingshan Painting and Calligraphy Institute will use more than 2,000 collections to hold calligraphy and painting exhibitions throughout the year. At the same time, the hospital actively explored profound resources of famous masters of calligraphy and painting, further strengthened exchanges and cooperation, and regularly carried out famous on-the-spot creation, appreciation of painting and calligraphy art, etc., and promoted traditional culture and advocated quality life. It is reported that the Simingshan Painting and Calligraphy Institute is located in the old revolutionary area of Siming Mountain. It combines the superior natural environment, cultural heritage and spiritual outlook of Siming Mountain to attract more artists to come to sketch and create. The institute has become a sketching and creative base for the China Academy of Art and the China Academy of Art. In recent years, Yuyao City has vigorously promoted the rapid development of private museums, exhibition halls, painting and calligraphy institutes, and actively explored a model of combining self-management and government services to create a construction atmosphere. So far, there are nearly 10 private museums. In September 2009, Yuyao issued the “Opinions on Encouraging the Promotion of the Development of Museums by the Citizens (Trial)”, and appropriate subsidies were provided to privately-run museums, exhibition halls, and painting and calligraphy institutes established according to law. For the Simingshan Painting and Calligraphy Institute, the local government has given strong support in personnel training, exchanges, exhibitions and government information.
