The oil painting "Wang Anshi Reform" is based on the important historical event of "Wang Anshi Reform", which is mainly based on the visual interpretation of history by the creator seeking inner true feelings: Wang Anshi was in the county of Min County (predecessor of Zhangzhou) for 3 years. Here, he completed a small experiment of his big innovations and achieved success. It is because of this success that he has strengthened his belief in reform that he has the "greate reformer of the eleventh century." The creative team elaborated on their work concept: the main spatial structure of the picture uses the characters as the main frame to present Wang Anshi's historical achievements in the form of monuments or historical monuments. The negative space of the picture describes the history in the form of words, and the characters are interlaced as the symbolic language of the picture and the positive space characters of the picture.
