There are many ancient crossings on the banks of the Banpududu Canal, such as Zhangtingdu, Hemudu, Chengshandu and Shaojiadu. These ferries are an integral part of the Grand Canal water conservancy project. Some of them exist in name, such as Qinglindu, and some still play a role, such as Banpo Ancient. Banpudu is located at the southernmost tip of Banpu Village in Cicheng Township, bordering Yaojiang. With the well-connected canal, the tentacles of Banpudu extend to the land of Zhedong. Starting from this ancient ferry, not far to the east is Xiaoxiba, Xiaoxixiba is the port of the city, Cijiang, which can be used to Cixi County, Yuyao, Shaoxing, and Daxiba is a shortcut to the waterway of Ningbo Fucheng - Xitang River. The semi-Pudu Ferry was called "Zhapu Ancient Ferry". It must have attracted countless ostriches, or dwelled by the water, or flew in the air, or sang in the meantime. It’s no longer known that Half-Pugudu was founded in He Dynasty. However, the Zheng family donated the fields and they were recorded in the late Qing Dynasty. On the other side of the half-pull, there is a Qing Dynasty "Yidu Monument", which shows that the Zheng family in the late Daoguang was a government official, saying that the Zheng clan lived in Nanpu, and the south had a ferry to the Yuci. The tribes Zheng Junxuan and Zheng Mingchen had previously initiated donations to build ferries, but due to insufficient funds, they were abandoned. After the efforts of Zheng Fen and Zheng Yizhen, Yidu gradually recovered. In the first year of Xianfeng (1851), Zheng built three ferries, and the employees were divided into supporters, and they took turns to make business trips around the clock, and rebuilt the skylights on the north and south sides of the Shantou, the boatman's house and the night flight. Since it is Yidu, of course, it does not charge. The crossing pavilions, stone pillars and stone steps still preserved today show the excitement of the ancient ferry. The small ferry that shuttles between Banpo and Takahashi is still playing a silent role. Behind the sound of water and the sound of the paddles, there are still endless readings in the history of time and space. "Siming talks and help" said that Banpu "has a family of Zheng family, the richest books." In addition to the rich family collection, Zheng is the successor of the tens of thousands of volumes of the founder of the Zhedong School. Zheng's collection of books was built in the Kangxi period. At most, the collection of books reached more than 50,000 volumes, comparable to the shoulders of Fan's Tianyi Pavilion. Someone commented that Zheng’s “clean up the Nan Lei Book, the wall of the wall is fortunate.” Where does this start? It turned out that Zheng Zheng was the tribute of Huang Zongxi, and his son Zheng Liang was a disciple of Huang Zongxi. His grandson was a disciple. The collection of the two books of Zheng and Huang is a testimony of the teacher's family. In order to commemorate the two old people, the ancestors Zheng Zheng and Huang Zongxi, Zheng Xing named the library building "Two Old Courts". The ferry crossing is the end point for people to go to the shore, and it is also the starting point for the passengers to travel far. Throughout the ages, Banpu Gudu has welcomed writers, historians, and collectors, and also farewell to the children of Banpu who are far away from the rivers and lakes. Among the Zheng family, there is a scholar who claims to be a "five-Yue tourist". He abandons his fame, comes and rushes, and measures the land of China with his footsteps. This person is the second official of the second cabinet. His son Zheng Zhongjie, inherited the genes of his father, is also good for mountains and rivers. Under the gaze of the pillar-shaped sky lantern at the ferry, many business people, such as banker Sun Hengwei, emerged from here. After Sun Hengyu made his fortune, he donated money to build the road from Banpo to Cicheng. He also set up the Banpu Primary School, which made the children’s voices in the backcountry. These people went up and down from the ferry and brought the distance between the ancient village and the world. Banuragudu also witnessed the historical moment of the second Laoge collection of Jinjing.
