Foreword: In recent years, I have always heard the word "Belt and Road". This year, I plan to take a high-speed rail to go to major cities related to "One Road". Starting from Nanjing, along Hangzhou, Ningbo, Quanzhou, Shantou, and Guangzhou. But in the end, Guangzhou still didn't go, so think about it, and go with Hainan next time.
I came to Ningbo mainly to see Tianyi Pavilion. Tianyi Pavilion is the earliest private library in China. It is also the oldest library in Asia and one of the three largest family libraries in the world. The current Tianyi Pavilion Museum is not a single Tianyi Pavilion, but a comprehensive museum that has relocated and expanded many historical sites around Ningbo. It features a collection of books and culture, and integrates social history and art. It's huge, like a maze. Tickets are 30, and there is a discount of a few dollars when booking online one day in advance. Children can get free tickets to enter the park. Get a hand drawn map, scan the code to listen to the explanation, and slowly stroll around.
Tianyi Pavilion was built in the forty years (1561) to forty-five years (1566) of the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. It was a private library built by Fan Qin, the right servant of the Ming army at the time.
Fan Qin named the new collection as "Tian Yi Pavilion" based on the phrase "Tian Yi Sheng Shui ... Tian Liu Cheng Zhi" in the Book of Changes by Zheng Xuan, and adopted the "Tian Yi Di Liu" in the architectural pattern. In the pattern of "buildings," building a pool outside the building to prevent fire and "making fire with water."
The garden is exquisite, the building is simple, and the environment is elegant.
I don't know why I always think the animal images here are cute!
The architecture of Qin's Ancestral Temple is exquisite.
The exhibition hall of the place where Mahjong originated, you have to read the Hall of Peace (hú), and you can only win the heart!
There is an experience hall over the South Gate, where you can go in and experience new technologies.
This is a place that surprised me a lot. First of all, the building of Ningbo Museum is the work of the famous architect Mr. Wang Yan, the building itself is an "exhibition". The exterior wall of the museum uses a large number of old bricks and tiles that have been demolished from old buildings in Ningbo. Some of the walls are inclined. If you look closely, you can also find the symbols left on the tiles when they were fired.
The exterior of the museum is shaped as a piece of a mountain. The façade is made of tiled wall and bamboo texture concrete in eastern Zhejiang. The main body has three floors and a part of five floors. The main floor has a concentrated layout below the second floor. It has evolved into an abstract mountain, integrating Ningbo's regional cultural characteristics, traditional architectural elements, and modern architectural forms and techniques.
When we went, there was a small navy of summer camp to visit it.
Many students came to visit the museum.
Theme Pavilion: Oriental "Shenzhou"-Ningbo Historical Relics Exhibition
Based on the development of Ningbo's regional culture, and taking the Maritime Silk Road as its main line, it has passed "City" and "Opening Ports to Commerce" and other seven chapters, illustrated with pictures and texts, show the history of Ningbo's 7000 years of civilization.
In this pavilion, we met a volunteer explainer. I think it is more appropriate to call her teacher. The explanation she gave is very detailed and quoted from the classics, which vividly reproduces the past and present life of Ningbo.
The following are the important exhibits that she focused on.
Bronze urn (ceremonial ware), double dragon pattern, beautiful pattern of feather race.
Bronze mirror, the queen mother expressive, galloping horses vivid.
Mysterious porcelain, at a 45-degree angle, looks like half a cup of water.
The plaque and silver hall of the Tianfeng Pagoda Palace is of great reference value to the ancient architectural style.
Ningbo was marked on the map of Europe in the 16th century, showing the importance of Ningbo Port.
Smuggling place during the sea ban
Theme Pavilion: "Allah" Old Ningbo-Ningbo Folk Customs Exhibition
"Allah" Old Ningbo, as a historical fragment and cultural symbol, consists of "Ningbo Time-honored Brand", "Shangshang Wedding Custom 'Shili Red Makeup'", "Ningbo Old Wall Door", "Ningbo Festival Customs", "Ningbo Folk Arts and Crafts" It is composed of six parts, "Ningbo Opera and Ningbo Dialect", and shows the old Ningbo, which has "nothing but no city".
The story of Shilihongzhuang has been introduced in the Hangzhou chapter, so I won't hesitate.
Thematic Museum: Bamboo Carving Art-Qin Chengnian Donated to the Ming Dynasty Bamboo Carvings Exhibition
Donated by the philosopher Mr. Qin Bingnian to the country for free. A large number of masterpieces of bamboo carvings such as Zhu Songlin, founder of the Jiading School in the Ming Dynasty, Zhou Hao, the leading figure of the Jiading bamboo carvings in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, and the royal craftsman of the court of the Kangxi Dynasty, as well as many bamboo carving works with absolute dynasty style, including tablet, pen holder, incense Canisters, arm rests, landscapes, figures, etc. In the production technique, deep relief, openwork, shallow carving, liuqing, and round carving are fully used.
Ningbo Old Bund
After the Opium War in 1842, the Qing government signed the "Nanjing Treaty", and Ningbo was one of the five ports of trade. The port was officially opened in 1844. Soon, the northern bank of Jiangxi developed into a residence area for diasporas in Britain, France and the United States. It is one of the earliest "concessions" in China. It is also known as the "Bund" in history. Its port opening history is 20 years earlier than that of the Shanghai Bund. Was gradually weakened. Jiangbei Bund also completely recorded the historical changes of modern Ningbo in the baptism of the years, becoming the only existing Bund in Zhejiang Province that can reflect port culture.
Now there are many bars on the Old Bund to relax and enjoy the nightlife of Ningbo.
This is also a good place to take pictures. There are many small scenes suitable for taking pictures.
In the evening, there will be many street performers on the waterfront, and the singing is very beautiful! Maybe someday a scout will find them!
And the citizens are flying kites with lights!
Drum Tower, passing by for a look, was originally a city gate, a bit like our Zhonghuamen Castle in Nanjing.
About eating: Like Hangzhou, you can eat all kinds of food. We only went to the tank to check in, so we didn't have a say in Ningbo cuisine. The glutinous duck dumplings are good, but it feels no different from the ones bought in the supermarket. I don't think it is necessary to eat them.
About staying: There are so many hotels in Ningbo. You can just pick any one near Metro Line 2. This time we chose the 7 Days Hotel Gulou Subway Store. It is also close to Tianyi Pavilion, Yuehu Lake, Chenghuang Temple, Drum Tower, the Old Bund and other attractions, and you can walk. The most surprising thing is the bookstore next to it, which the kids love very much. The only shopping on our trip was in this store.
Well, here is a pleasant trip to Ningbo. Hope to be useful to you!
